Got some more work done this weekend. Installed the new fuel line and brake lines to the back. The brake lines for the rear-end don't quite fit right, they don't meet up at the breather correctly. I'll have to contact the vendor. Also installed the fuel tank and installed the lower valance. Also cleaning up the bumper hardware to get it installed. Here's a few pictures of the progress. Oh yea, also installed the side view mirrors. Now I need the door panel inserts for final installation. Also moved the new rear seat covers into the house to warm up for install.

Did exactly the same thing to my '70 'Cuda a few months back.  Looking good.  :2thumbs:

Thanks. My 70 never had a return line and the carb/engine I'm installing doesn't have one either. If the need arises, I'll do what's necessary.

It's been a while since I've updated but I've made some progress. The rear bumper/lower valance is in its final place. The interior is mostly done and the new rear sway bar is in place. Next up is to have the seats re-covered and get the brake system in place and working. Here are a few pictures.

The carpet took a fair amount of trimming and will probably need a bit more. I put a carpet kit into this car in the early 90's and I don't remember it fitting so poorly. I got my kit from Year One. If I do it again I'd probably look for a different brand.

Nice job!  :2thumbs: Who's rear sway bar is that? It's not Hotchkis , close to the same design though. PST? It mounts to the frame different than the Hotchkis design that I'm using.

I have a soft spot for the 71 or T/A side stripes, but your white side stripes is perfect on the plum crazy, especially with the white interior.  With a few inexpensive bolt ons (headers, intake, carb, perhaps even a very mild cam) you could be pleasantly surprised with how lively even a low compression 440 can be.  Always fun to see a car coming together like yours!

Thanks. I've thought about the color combination for a long time. I'm going to have headers and I think it will be just fine. I've told my son that it will have plenty of power to go faster than the speed limit. Also, it doesn't need a lot of power while at a cruise-in, it just has to play the part.

I'm really looking forward to getting it back on the road. I was out earlier today gathering parts to put the brakes back together.

No pictures but I have the carpet and back seat installed. Installed the rear trim on the trunk lid and fenders. The rear brakes have been installed. Halfway through the front rotors and calipers but I'm having some issues with the bearings. Once those are on, get the master cylinder on and the rest of the brake lines. Front seat needs to still go in too. Progress is being made. I'll try to get some pictures this week.
