That's one sweet looking engine compartment and engine.  You are right, the orange and black rocks.  :2thumbs:

"usraptr" = United States raptor - bird of prey = United States Bald Eagle.  FYI, somebody else thought of it first so I had to drop the "O" in raptor.

I know you are. I've been secretly wondering who would be running first. I have some details to attend to and will hopefully be putting it on a trailer for the Mopar Summit next Saturday. It still won't have exhaust, but that's ok.

One of the exhaust bolts into the water jacket. Also a loose clamp on the fuel line. I'll get back to it but after I turned off the camera, I was satisfied I could go get dinner. We just got back from the End of the World Run this afternoon. My replacement radiator showed up on Thursday while I was there and I put it in after we got back. Then it was time for some action.

 :clapping:  Nicely done!
The funniest thing about this particular signature is that by the time you realize it doesn't say anything it's to late to stop reading it.

It was a really busy week at work and then coming home every night to get most of the details done, I made it to the Mopar Summit yesterday. Even though it was on a trailer without exhaust, a DIS-charging system, needs alignment, headliner, tuning etc etc. It was a very hectic day to get there and I'm now exhausted and tired of working on the car. It's now covered and safely in the shop and I'll get back to it in a week or so. I need a mental rest. Next planned outing will be the Portland Roadster Show at the beginning of the year. Should be enough time to work out the gremlins.

Won the under construction class! Not bad for the first time out.

Here it is at the show and on the trailer. The trailer picture is a duplicate of one I took with the same son when it first left to be media blasted. He was 2yr old then.

Ok, a week of not working on the car has done wonders. I needed the time off.

Didn't do much this weekend but I did get the engine timed correctly and a proper ground on the voltage regulator solved my charging issue. Now to get all 4 end exhaust manifold bolts/studs to stop leaking from the water jacket. 1 of the 4 had to be drilled/tapped to the next size due to corrosion. I'd like to choose the proper thread sealant. I don't really want to do this again, at least for a long time.

Once the leaks are solved, off to the exhaust shop and have the front end aligned. I think it'll be drivable at that point. Then just a bunch of little minor details to finish up.
