That was just the first hit in Google. Make your search for "copper clad sheets".

I knew it would be a project to make them myself. Thats why I used the replacement bulbs.

Once you get done with one set, you'll wish that you spent the $299, installed them, then moved on to something else.  Look into fuel injection...and wait.  If you wait a little while someone will have a smple solution to install in your 70 lights. Have you seen all of the LED light systems in AutoZone lately. They even have more at Walmart now. All of that wasn't there 6 months ago.

Have to say  :iagree:

My problem was solved by the lower current draw of the LED lights. They gave me good light with low current. But not many of you guys pull a trailer.

Why not get 4 of these 36 LED 1157 bulbs. Only a $1 each. You might be happy with these till something else comes around.

i actually enjoy working with stuff like that and being able to say "yea i made those" plus an anonymous member told me if the materials werent to ridiculously high that they would pay for enough stuff to make two kits if i made one for them. So i would get a set for free, would just take some time. And with a minimum wage job 299 dollars is a full weeks pay check, if not a little more

I dove into a LED tail retrofit today. Should work pretty well in the stock 72+ Barracuda tails. The lights when lit inside the stock housings do not have the "dotted" look like some. It looks pretty stock, just brighter.  :2thumbs:

The first picture is a '76 warlock 'running lamp' (headlights on), it's the same bulb that is in our tails from the factory...so pretty decent comparison. It lit the garage door in picture one. In picture two my new LED parking light was on, i couldn't get the whole pattern in the shot, you can still see the Warlock's light in the bottom left...but you get the idea. Take into consideration the LED light was a little further back which of course makes the pattern bigger, but we're talking about a foot further back.... Thats still not the LED BRAKE light  :grinyes:

It is a stop/turn signal so no crazy wiring. I believe all else that is necessary is a electronic signal flasher. It took about an hour and a half to do one, thats including figuring out how the heck I was going to mount it into the light and such. I expect the other side to take about 45mins. I'm very happy with how they came out, $50, 2 hours time (not sitting forever soldering LEDs and Resistors), I'm good with that! Also the pattern looking at the light looks very good, hardly different from stock, just much brighter (what i was looking for)

what about using prefboard? seems A LOT easier and cheaper then trying to make your own board. It would take 3 sheets per tail light, so if you did sequential then you could have 3 sections per tail light. I even understood how to rig it up. Would still have a problem with the sequential part though
