I've been waiting for the sealed oval trailer lights to come down in price.  For my 70 Challenger, with the 4 rectangular lights, I was thinking of removing the lenses then putting one in eack of the slots, then reinstalling the lenses.  I can only imagine what these would look like but I've been watching the prices for years now. Here is a pic.  The rubber surround is removable.

Ok I guess I will be the one to find out what fits.

I'm going to order a few different styles and try em out. Wish me luck?

In a way, I sure did. I got 8 LED bulbs from superbrightleds.com. I got white 24 LED/bulb wide angle bulbs. They worked great for me. The light is not quite as full as a regular bulb, but my turn switch is now safe and my lights work!!!

Oh yeah, I did not need to convert my flasher. It works fine. I quess leaving the front lights alone may have something to do with that?  :dunno:

Just got hooked up with this guy http://www.classicleds.com/mopar.html
They even have tail lights for 72-74 Cuda's also, and a few other models.
If someone wanted a set I could get them a good deal on a set, im going to put some in the cuda soon.

All I can find on that website is the 70 cuda tail lights.
Are there any 71's?
Do those tail lights come in an original housing or is it just the kit to install into your housing?

A while ago I called up www.classicleds.com He said he could make anything,And at reasonable prices. I asked for a quote on all 4 round tail lights. No back ups,and sequential turns. He said maybe 45$ a piece.Any configuration. Not sure but might be worth a call.  :dunno:

I knew if I waited long enough the price would drop.... Best value I've seen so far on smaller qty of leds for anyone who wants to build their own   100-$8.00

Cool site, do they sell the cirucuit board material to make panels out of? I could not find any. It would be a small investment to give it a try making my own reverse light, tail light panels out of 5mm led's.

Don't see the breadboard or any electronic components.
On another site I found this interesting reading...seems that red LEDs are what we need.

I think almost anyone could do this. I have no clue myself but did finish a DC circuit course last semester and it makes stuff like this not even as intimidating as it used to be. Wiring, breadboard as stated above, the led's themselves and some resistors. It might be hard to figure the first time but after that it would only be repetition. I might be fooling myself but it does not seem that hard.
