Plum crazy paint formula PPG
« on: October 06, 2008 - 03:36:17 AM »
Hi all,
I am thinking of painting my challenger plum crazy FC7,
only problem is that here in Australia they dont have american colours on
there computers to make up the colour correctly.
So what iam asking is if someone could ask a PPG paint supplier or a panel shop
that uses PPG if they could  give you the paint formula in there deltron range so i can make
the colour here in Aus, that would be greatly appreciated.
eg:      vitamin c chrysler Australia.

           tinter                                    500ml

           X010                                     34.8 grms
           x116                                     104.6 grms
           X431                                     380.8 grms
           X585                                     502.4 grms

When you stir this all up you get the colour.
This is what I need so I can spray out a colour sample.

Thanks Anton

Hi Anton,

 going to see if we can have one of the 'Cudas ready to take down.  Really hoping so, or just go for a trip any way.  Have not been to one there yet.  Looking forward to it, just have a lot on my plate right now.  Fingers crossed. :2thumbs:

This is a base coat clear formula for 1 pint.
DMD 624  VIOLET  135.5
DMD 1687 MED ALUMINUM 114.4
DMD 614  BLUE   28.0
DMD 1686 FINE ALUMINUM  14.1
DMD 622 RED    14.1
DX685 FLAT     9.4
DBX 1689 CLEAR    186.8
I have sprayed this color and it is a good match, but the painter has to be sure to get it to lay wet as to keep the metalic from laying on top and washing out the color.
