Had to order oil for my garage/shop yesterday-200 gallons of blend @ 335.9/gallon=671.80,man that hurts!I only keep the garage at 45 till I go out there to work so that will last me most of the winter but the house goes thru almost a tank a month during the middle of winter and regular heating oil is still at 299.9.

I had heard Chevron does not use oil from the middle east. :dunno: If true it must still be supplied from somewhere outside the US to make quotas. They always seem to be most expensive though.

Good fuel IMO. I have actually noticed reduced detonation using their product, maybe the Techron stuff they add.

Paid 2.54 for reg (86 octane  :eek7: ) in Albequerqe NM last saturday. Reg here today fell to 2.65. Filled my loader today (diesel) 3.19 ... lowest diesel been around here for a LLLOOOONNNNGGGG time.

I know we get the crappy 86 regular octane here in southern New Mexico and even west Texas. I thought that Albuquerque had a minimum of 87 for regular gas because of the elevation. Down here 91 is our super unleaded.

Hate to be the turd in the punch bowl.  But I think this is the worst thing that could happen in the long run.  Everyone will forget about alternative sources, and the cycle will continue.  Don't get me wrong, I like the low prices, but I hate shipping 700 billion of our money out of the country to our worst enemies.

We have no vision.  I'd be willing to pay an extra dollar a gallon, if they'd guarantee it would go directly to reducing the national debt.  I know that's wishful thinking, they'd find a way to divert the funds just like everything else.

Oh well, I guess I'll go down to the station and have a good old gas fight  (just like in the movie Zoolander).

Rant off

I'm with you there brother.

We'll just go back to our old ways and buy up 13MPG SUVs for daily commuter drivers.

I'm in favor of a $0.50-$1.00 gas tax BUT REGULATE OIL FUTURES so that they can't spike up like they have.  Use the tax proceeds for more roads, bridges, and mass transit.

Best way to keep gas prices low is to not use it as much.  MOre highways means more efficient ways for our goods via Semi trucks to transport them.  A good thing for business.

We're in this together; not just for ourselves.  Also, think about your kids' futures.

I saw it for 2.19 today. Funny how I find myself wanting to go out and burn some gas just so I can fill up with cheap gas. Then I slap myself and realize how stupid that would be. :roflsmiley:
