I saw a news story that oil is falling so rapidly that gas could end up back below $1.00 a gallon.

Paid $1.72 today

On the way home I listened to the local yackers on the radio talk about how excited our dear legislators are that they can now advance yet another gas tax increase to make up the shortfalls in the budget from all the gas tax they haven't been collecting due to the price drop, sales tax losses from lower sales, income tax revenue losses due to lost jobs, real estate tax losses due to real estate losses, car sales and registration fee losses due to lower car sales.  Do it now and the 'deer peepul' won't notice as much and will forget by the next election.  Its all our fault, you know, that they have less money to spend.

Down to $1.99 for premium, $2.39 for Diesel last Thursday.

Registration is going up here in Kallyfornia though. 22% more then last year for my bike. I hadn't heard anything on the news but noticed it as soon as I opened the bill. :22yikes:
