    Habib Asad Callada was changing the sign as I was pumping today. The new price was 6 cents higher.   :eek4:

    Yesterday (Tuesday) it went up ~$0.24 per gallon between morning rush and lunchtime, and another $0.02 today.  Its over $2/gallon for regular at all the stations between home and work now.  And the bloody pols are still talking about raising the gas tax at state and county levels.

    Oil prices jumped more than 5 percent on Monday alone to close at $48.81 in New York trading, as fighting continued in the Gaza Strip and Iran's OPEC representative said the cartel would hold a special meeting in February. The cartel decided last month to cut output by 2.2 million barrels, on top of earlier cutbacks.

    For us in the snowy states we should be screwed by the time we get our cars fired up. Im sure it will be back up to 4$ on my first cruise with the new motor.

    OUCH! gas was @.85/ltr on the weekend then .90 this morning and now @$1.00/ltr! Oil @$35.00/barrel and demand of gas is at the lowest in years around here!( thats about .70cents/gal overnite. :villagers: :screwy:

    A BP/Amoco and a Shell station nearby raised their prices $0.12 and $0.14 today, both over $2.04/gal on regular.  But the Mobil station is still at $1.95.  Wierd; they always move up within hours of each other.

    Tonight the CA. state legislators are putting in their final votes for the state budget. It looks like they've reached an agrement and they'll pass their proposal. CA. budget is currently 41 Billion in the red.

    Which means CA. residents will get a 12 cent tax increase per gallon of gas. Also a 1.12% increase on DMV fees.
