How much would you get for the crusher?

I'm sure someone will rescue this car.  Did you advertise this car on the dodgecoronet board I linked to above?  I'm sure someone can appreciate this car!

I can hear it's little Cornet voice saying, "Please, please don't crush me!!!!!"  :1zhelp:
1972 Dodge Challenger Rallye 340, AT, Code TB3=Super Blue, SBD=8/17/1971.  Yes, a Rallye without the fender louvers from the factory because of the body side molding option.

crusher is only goin to give you around 300 here in Va, put it on ebay with no reserve and let it go if that is really a option.

Good idea!  EBay to the rescue!!!!!!

Although you might want to have a starting bid that you may feel comfortable getting....  :2cents:

He's talking about parting it not actually taking it to the local scrap yard to melt down for coffee cans. We all know dana's, 440's and hemi 4 speeds are worth more as parts than melted scrap metal.

That's crazy. He should just sell it to the highest bidder. It almost met his reserve, so he just offer it to whoever bid highest, IMO. Parting it out would bring some money, but most of those parts are too common to bring big bucks, other than the moto ,trans and dana. Too rare of a car to part out, again IMO. :dunno:

Well, I have done some more research and this car is even more rare than I originally thought. I will be restoring the body starting this winter. GG is going to love this one. I can't believe I almost sold this for $7500.  To those of you that came out to see it, sorry but it is not for sale at such a cheap price.

Coronet R/Ts are pretty rare. I tried to get my friend to snatch that up but he's in thick of it getting his 69 vert R/T restored.

I have to contact GG because there was only 1983 of the R/T's made with the 4 speed, but even less with the dana 60. From there it goes down even further with it being red with red/white interior. Then I looked into the 150 mph speedo plus the options this car had on the interior. Now I am finding out on some people that owned this car back in the 70's. The list goes on and on.

Sounds like a cool car, IMO I thought it was priced right for a 440-4spd Dana car.  Probably be glad you kept it.   :2thumbs:
