Thanks Sean!

Today I worked on the Gas Pedal assembly. I decided to just clean and detail what I had and save some money. Here's a before and after shot.

Pulled the drivetrain from the bottom yesterday. Was finally able to get the Torsion bars out and decided to keep  :working:

It's been a long time getting there, but the Challenger was loaded up today and is now sitting at the media blaster's shop. He said he had a nice opening next week to get it done when I stopped by to pick up the driver door earlier in the week. They will start on it on Monday and then it will go on the rotisserie for blasting.  :woohoo:

Went out to check on the car today and they have started blasting it. The car was originally undercoated from the factory but it appears it also got extra undercoating at the dealer. This really protected the floors but it's almost impossible to remove. All the usual removal methods have been tried but to not much avail. Just going to take a while. Also, we found a little more rust than was apparent so a little more cutting and welding will need to be done. The floors won't need any repairs though.  Here's some pics from today

Here's my Weekend Update.

Car has been completely blasted and is now in primer. The floors in the car were great shape due to the 1/4 thick undercoating on the bottom of the car. Too bad the trunk floor didn't fair so well.

I really thought long and hard about how I was going to use the car. The car was a factory undercoated car and then appeared to have extra undercoating put on at the dealership. After much consideration, I deviated from factory specs and decided to apply Raptor Liner to the bottom and to the interior floorboard. It will provide good protection form the elements and will make the car more quite. Not to mention that the underside will be easier to keep clean. I really love painted bottoms and cars restored to factory specs with primer and overspray, but I felt if I did that to the car I would be reluctant to drive it. Since the car has had an undercoat finish since new, I felt it was good to treat it in a similar manner.

Here's a few photos of the car taken on Saturday.

Car looks great.  I will always remember dropping the car off at the media blaster and coming back to it a week later and seeing it.  At one point I was like "this is not my car".  Clean metal is great to work on.

Where are you at now???

Looks like some rust holes in the trunk.  Is that going to be repaired then undercoated as well?
