Access to Old Pics
« on: October 10, 2008 - 10:39:01 PM »
I was searching for some info -- found it -- but unfortunately the posts are old and so I can't open the pics (which is what I was hoping to find).....      I understand the space issues -- but is there a way to open up older post pics?

Thanks

I think most of the pictures were stored on the site, and with some of the crashes that have happened those files were lost, so unless the user re-posts them you're out of luck. We should have a tutorial on how to post pictures using photobucket, flikr or similar picture hosting sites. Its easy, and the links stay active as long as the pics stay on the host site.

Photos get deleted after time (period of which is Admins choice) to save space etc.
To have your photos remain "indefinitely" I recommend using a host site, such as Photo Bucket.

MOPARAL    I'm trying to figure out seat belts for a '70 Challenger.   Mine are original (I think) but have a few issues.   I bought a set off ebay and they are very different (have a push button mechanism vs. a lift up one).   Yet, they have a label with 3508281 and "1970-2"    So -- just trying to figure out what I bought and I think the posts and pics would have helped.

I understand about storing the photos -- a tutorial for uploading them is a good idea (if someone could develop a "easy upload button" on this site for everyone to use -- well that would might be very helpful.

thanks

Barry -- any chance you have a part # or photo of the "delux" ones for a '70?

Nope, sorry. But from memory, they look very similar to the 1971 style.

I did not see the number you mentioned in my parts book, but my Chapter 23 is not complete.  :walkaway:

1970 - 2 should be the date code for the second quarter of 1970.

Hmmmmm    Thanks Hemiken.     The ones that I picked up (supposedly for a Challenger) are slightly different -- any ideas?

Hi Vermont, the style of belt buckle you have there is for 71 barracuda and Challenger buddy.  Not sure why it has the 70 coded tag on it though :clueless: but it is deffinetly 71 buckle.

Well..... I'm by no means all that knowledgeable about all this -- but the more I listen and learn -- the more I'm convinced that the "rules"  associated with Mother MOPAR on some of this stuff are like they were made by a bunch of politicians.........

Go figure.....

PS   Maybe someone should take this whole post up to "Interiors" and see what some of the other experts think?

Some of the belts in my T/A are dated 1969 - 3, so they would have been made somewhere between 7-9 months prior to my car.

So, seeing 1971 style belts with this date code is well within reason to me.
