Sorry to hear about that Mike.  I live in the woods, so the Squirrels (we call them "Tree Rats") are always a problem.  Every so often my father goes on a shooting rampage to reduce the numbers.  The bad thing is they multiple like crazy, so the following year they are back again.   :pullinghair:

One week using the fabric softener sheets, and all is well. Who knows if the sheets are doing the trick or not. Maybe the one squirrel to ticked me off got run over by a car.   :dunno:

I like those glue traps. All you gotta do is clean up the trap and the four little amputated legs that's left behind.
I tried that in the garage attic - little bastard just chewed his way out of it. Even if I was to live trap and move them, there are about 685,000 relatives that will move in (our neighborhood is full of them)

The odor of moth balls repels squirrels. If they get past the animal repellent and pepper mixture, the odor of moth balls is sure to drive the animals away. Open the hood and insert some moth balls in several different locations. Be sure to place some moth balls around the wires as the squirrels like to munch on them. https://verminkill.com/get-rid-of-ground-squirrels/

Personally, I've found that .22 long or long rifle work best. The fallback action is to take the ones that go into the traps, for a swim. Let the PETA types flaming begin. By the way, I saw a People Eating Tasty Animals T-shirt the other day. Loved it.
