the year is 1970
« on: April 20, 2004 - 09:22:32 PM »
Ok lets time travel back to 1970!!  Your rich!!  :D  The 1970 line of cars has just arrived and you're going down to the local Chrysler Dealership to order ANY car you want . . . any car!  What will you order???  ::)  ::)

18 colors were available
All Engine combos  - HEMI to /6.
Auto or Manual
Interior color

This is tough!!   ???  ???  I would walk in and buy:  :P

1970 'Cuda Convertible
Hemi powerplant
Rally Dash
White interior
painted bumpers
racing mirrors
rear lovers
road lamps
power top ::)

Color is my hardest choice . . . I like them all!

Tor red with a white hockey stick!!  I could probably get that with a red shaker too!!

Now I know I said you are RICH and I would probably buy more than one car too . . . but lets try to pick one car and see what our members like??

This is easy...
a '70 Challenger R/T hardtop (without a vinyl top)
Engine: 426 CID Hemi ;D with a shaker hood
Trans:  4-speed
Rear: Dana 60
Exterior: Black
Interior: Black
Driver's side Chrome racing mirror
Radio delete
Rallye Dash
I think that covers it...

1973 Dodge Challenger......................The ongoing project. (00/----\00)
1991 Dodge Stealth R/T Twin-Turbo....The sunny day cruiser (RTBoost)
1990 Toyota Celica GT Liftback...........The new daily & winter driver.
All-American Muscle: 'Cudas and Challengers...Still the Elite and always will be.

I think I learned about the 70's in History Class.  :o  ;D
Since I was born in 1975, but for the sake of buying my dream car I shall participate. I would buy 1970 Hemi Cuda convert fully loaded with all the bells and whistles just as you would. Cept my color would have to be orange. and my second one would be the slimy green.  :P . I would save the rest of my money for 71 and then buy at least 10 of those. All Hemis of course.

See now I'm finding this very intersting!  Some prefer a 440-6 over the hemi . . .and a couple went for small blocks with the trans am series??

Big Mike . . . let see if you can choose just one . . .your not as rich as you thought you were.  :P  :P  ???  ::)  ;D

Dodgefreak . . . superbird sounds awesome . .what color??

A couple black cars . . . a pink superbird?? and some other cool choices.  I did find it interesring the CP picked a 440-6 instead of a HEMI as Russ pointed out.  But Russ didn't pick a car?  Come on Russ . . . play along  ;D  ;D

Maybe we'll do 1971 next??  I would choose different options in 71 as I think Burpin Chunks and REV would do too.  ;D  ;D

Gator grain top
Having a hard time with the color...maybe black?

Now if it were 1971, I'd have a different answer.
