« on: October 14, 2008 - 05:40:43 PM »
Just thru some cheap black paint on it as I`m still doing the bodywork but figured I`d show you guys some pics. It`s an aftermarket race weight hood with the scoop section raised 1-1 1/2" and the vents filled and smoothed-whach ya think?  :icon16:

Looks great Torredcuda.

I may be looking for something like that later on to mix it up on my 70.

Yes the black makes it look cleaner for sure. :icon16:

Tom

Did you figure a way to seal it to the Air cleaner?

Did you raise the height or is that raised from the mfg.? I have seen the raised ones tat someone makes and it's like 6", (too big). Yours looks raised just enough.

It was stock hieght and I cut off the scoop and raised it 1-1 1/2' using styrofoam to fill in the gaps and layed the fiberglass over it.I still need to make an air pan for it to seal the carb to the hood but it already has lowered my et`s and upped my mph due to the air it pulls in at speed.
