Hello all!
I just rejoined the Mopar camp!!!
I could use someone's help to check out this car before I send the money to pay for it? First time buying an old car this way don't want to get scammed! Anyone live near this area to check it out?

I can't help, but you should have had someone check it about before you bid on it.

brads70, dont want to bust on you but I think what people are saying is you bought the car it's yours, bidding on ebay is to buy not to come look at.

  • In Kansas loaded for Drive to West Coast.
Hook up a trailer and go have a look, but I'll bet the owner will say  "SHOW ME THE MONEY"   :money:
From the ebay pic's it looks OK, but they don't show frame rails or anything underneath.  Good luck.

If that is original paint then it looks like you dont have much to worry about. Looks pretty solid. kinda weird that there is not dash/front seat pics though  :clueless:

It might have been burt orange at one time. Look at the inside of the trunk. Spray bomb black under the hood.  Was there any questions asked during the auction?  Anything said about the wiring?  You may be ok, hope it works out for you. Transport in the winter get tougher cause of weather. Good thing is fuel costs are down, so that's a plus for you.

:iagree: Looks like the drip rails around the trunk are still orange, also.  Looks like the Lime Green is a repaint, and by the looks of the trunk I would guess it is at least 10 years old.  I hope the seller sent you a lot of pictures besides the ones posted, but I sure hope it all works out for you.

Yes it is a repaint! I don't care for the color, I plan a repaint, I really like the color of the yellow/orange XV  Challenger ( I have it as my screen saver lol) I did know that before I bought it. I have dozens of other pictures the seller sent to my e-mail too. Under the car looks very very clean! It does have airshocks that have to go!!! It was either a 6cly or 318 car  . No console, column shift  has buckets .Dash all seats are new. After pricing out panels fenders interiour  etc... I decided to go for the cleanest original car I could find. It's cheaper ( and faster) I don't care about # matching I'm planning a 6.1 hemi and 6 speed , just waiting for someone to write off a SRT something. I see them once in awhile on E-bay ( no 6 speed yet, 2009 ). I'll use the 440 till then. Lots to keep me busy till then.
I just wanted someone to look at the car to make sure it is really a real car.  I was reading here about scams and it made me a little nervous! such as    Common 27 scammed!! Beware!!
I'm not worried so much about the condition. I'm committed to buying it! I have no problem with that Just want to make sure it's really  there! It's a 40 hour drive for me!!LOL So looking at it first wasen't much of an option!
If anyone close by could help that would be great?

I'm fine buying the car I just want to make sure there really IS a car before I send the funds.  I live 40 hours by car away so looking first wasen't very feasable, just want to be 100% sure it's not a scam!!
