Heater control question
« on: October 16, 2008 - 08:17:49 PM »
I got the cable installed for the temperature control (the one that goes to the water valve). Now I can actually control the heat in the car. BUT, the air blows on the defrost only, when I push the heat button, it stays on defrost. Can you guys give me a fix for that?

Are you guys sure there was only one kind of factory water valve? Mine is what I think could be an after market one, buy I saw an ad for a 70 Chally survivor on EBAY, it had the same valve that I had. This car looked like a virgin, it just made me scratch my head..................................

Thanks again for all the help!!!!!!!!!!

sounds like you do not have vaccum eithe connected or routed properly to the control behind the dash to switch the doors , the heat vale on the hose would have no effect on defrost or floor heat

Your vacuum lines could be dry-rotted. Ask me how I know.   :bricks1:
