1970 A833 style question
« on: October 17, 2008 - 12:45:41 PM »
I'm ordering parts for my 833 and sometime in '70 they made a switch from a ball detent side cover to an interlocking lever system. I need to know which I have, I'd call it a detent ball style since there's a spring between the two shift levers with a balls on the end but I'm not sure what the criteria is.  any easy way to tell the difference or a picture?

if you have the sleeve with 2 balls between the levers you have the ball detent style
