    Project: Restore a 1971 'cuda convertible, 383, 3 speed, that we purchased 3/22/71

    This is the car as of today. It has some body damage and the front driver fender has been replaced. It needs a grill, but we do have the missing piece of the front bumper. There is rust, but I realize until it gets stripped it's hard to tell how bad it is. The driver's seat has become unstitched but the other seats are pretty good. There is a small rip in the back seat.

    I would hazzard a guess that your convertible is the only one in this color combo as it is one of eight built with a 383 3 speed 71 Convertible 'Cuda.

    Very nice.  Wish I could find something like that to restore.... 
    I have a 69' camaro convertible that I restored, it was a lot of fun and even though it is a camaro, you don't see a lot of convertible 69's cruising around.  I'd trade it fully restored for your old beat up mopar :-)

    Super car man, good luck with the restoration.

    Awesome color combo!!  Are those all original colors?  I have to ask,  What is the fender tag readout?  Very curious!

     We were driving by a Plymouth Dealership back in the day and saw a 318 in that color. Hubby had an orange 67 GTO as his daily driver, so we decided to order Tor Red cuda for me that night. Don't ask why we didn't bump it up to a hemi, must have been the $, we were getting married in a few months, so doesn't everyone start out marriage with a brand new muscle car?  Everything is original except the driver side fender. This pic is not for the faint at heart.

    Trade for a chevy???  :smilielol:  no, that's ok, I think we'll keep our old mopar....   :bigsmile:

    same ones that are on there now, they were just brand new then.
    we do have some random parts that were picked up over the years, thinking that we would change some things, but now we're looking forward to keeping it original to the build sheet. When we took it out last weekend we hadn't realized it had just the driver's side mirror!
