    the flex fan in my Charger decided to move forward a bit or maybe the engine moved on the mounts ... not sure anyway it took out approx 8 tubes in the alum rad tonite  :pullinghair:  :swear:
     I guess i get to buy another new rad + a fan tomorrow  :bricks1:

    Bummer CP.... had a similar thing happen years ago, all I could figure out was that I must have left something laying under the hood that the fan flung into the radiator.

    You have a Charger?  We just recently saw your Challenger....maybe Charger pics????  (Fix the radiator problem first!  We can wait for the pics!  :popcorn: )

    You have some luck Neil...   :banghead:   That happened to me one time with my Dodge Demon, I was racing a friend and the belt came off, mangled the fan and that ruined my new rad.    :pullinghair:

    I have twice seen a water pump shaft crawl out of its press-fit impeller; once on a Chevy smallblock, and once on a MOPAR smallblock. Check for the danger signs, like misaligned pulleys, or sudden slop in the shaft. I carved a radiator fan shroud once, when I broke a mount. THAT was interesting. I have also seen many clutch fans fail, blowing out the bearings, and consequently running the fan blades into the radiator. Was the rad carved in an even manner, or just a crescent through a few tubes? Sorry it had to happen to you, Chryco.

    Well I found a new rad & will check out the the clutch carefully , I did have a shaft shear off on a 440 one time but it didn`t do that , not sure if the engine torqued & moved on the mounts or if the rad moved or if the fan grabbed some more air & twisted into the rad or if the water pump had an issue although it isn`t loose .... just another day in paradise  :pullinghair:
