727 High tech parts! Help!

I am planning to make my 727 stronger because of my new high power (750hp) and high revving engine.

I am planning to use 5clutch plate front clutch,bolt in sprag,new spring set in front clutch and cheetah manual valve body.
Anyone know a good place to buy them all or should i pick first one that i find in google?

 I already  have 5.0 ratio kickdown lever, reinforced band strut, high performance flex band and better seals for the front clutch to hold the pressure better. Alto clutches and kolene steels i also have. Any other parts i should use for making my trans better?

I have read that aluminium front clutch would be good choise but they are extremely expensive.
But i really want to make it work because i dont want to fix it after every race.  :burnout:

You could look at A&A transmissions www.aandatrans.com they have some real cool stuff. :2thumbs:

John the owner always answers the phone,which is something I have always liked.
It has reverse pattern like a Cheetah ,but has low band apply to protect the low sprag. (no bolt in sprag needed)

Go with a 4.2 not a 5.0

An aluminum drum is not for strength,but for less weight and higher revving without blowing apart. The low band apply of the CRT V.B. helps with that too.

I would go with :
C.R.T. valvebody
billet rear servo
4.2 lever
HD intermediate band strut
5 clutches in the direct (high gear) drum.(Can be done with stock parts)
deep pan of some kind.
a good quality intermediate band

Thanks a lot! Its says that CRT reverse manual valve body will fit 1966-1980! My trans is 1985. Is that a problem?
Is there a problem with the 5.0 or why do you use 4.2 lever?
I have deep pan with temperature sending unit. I also have big cooler. Other parts i already have.

A 5.0 lever tends to create to much 2-3 shift "bind up", the second gear band has not released yet when the third gear clutch pack comes on.

The VB should fit any 904/727 from '66 and up,just call John Cope and ask him when it is time to order. (he is a VERY nice guy)

I contacted cope and asked for the parts. The valve body wont fit my 1985 trans. I think it relates to the low band apply because cheetah valve bodies fit 66-90 and they dont have it.
Well i have chose to use trans brake and cope vb doesnt have it. I think i am going to use cheetah reverse with tranz brake and bolt in sprag because it doesnt have the low band apply.

Anyone got experience from cheetah vb? Do i need to change std rear servo to billet or do some other modifications?  :cooldancing:

I would like to know what is different that it won't fit your '85, it is not the low band apply. It must have something to do with oil passage lay out,I will have to ask him the next time I talk to him.

You need a billet rear servo in ANY Torqueflite,but especially a brake or a manual V.B.

The Griner valve body will fit any 727 or 904  1966 and later. Either the reverse manual or the transbrake will fit. No overlap problems with these valve bodies either.

Don't forget the super sprag.   Keith

Ok,I just talked to John at C.R.T. and he says he is pretty sure it is the "port pattern and lay out" (squared in yellow) on the case. He said that it has been awhile and he would have to double check if that is the reason but after we talked a little bit I remembered the differences he was referring to. I thought that it was lock up only but he said that the later non lock ups were that way also.  :cheers:
