trim restoration??

does any one on here do trim restoration?? i have a lower valence mounlding for a 72 chally  that needs to redone.. it is in pretty good shape just some scuffs and smalls dents ... thougth i would ask if yall knew anyone you would recommend?? good price good work??? any thoughts?? thanks

If it's the piece I am thinking of, I don't believe there is really any way that you can restore it, because of the type of material that it is.  I just shined mine up as best I could, and put it back on, with plans to buy a new set (top and bottom) next year.

I did gorget to mention that I had looked into restoring mine, but the price definitely did not justify the need.  I just took a look for repro parts, also, and did not find them.  I wonder if they no longer make them?  That would be a bummer.  Last I looked it would have been about $350 for the top and bottom pieces.

That is the top part (which I do need and like the price), but what I need, and I believe WVUFELLA also needs, is the lower part that wraps around the opening in the front valance.

yes i need the piece on the top of the lower valence ( it looks like a smile ) The grill moulding (looks like a frown)i would like to buy a new one but they are on backorder.... metro is the only place that makes them... does anyone sell new lower valence moulding??

I have heard that using oven cleaner will remove outer finish and then polish and clearcaot

this may be the lower trim, no picture, they list the upper girlle moulding separately
