I hear ya man but this is my VIPER... This is a realization of a dream 15 years in the making. I mean market and value and compromising is one thing, but you guys know as well as I do that in the end it's YOUR car, and you gotta make it what you love.
And I'll tell you something else about Vipers. EVERY Viper owner says that their color is "unique," "rare" and "the most desirable color made." I swear to you, bud - everyone thinks their color is special. So whether it's this arrangement or another arrangement - it doesn't matter. And trust me, I'm NOT buying this car with the intention of turning around and selling it anytime soon. I'm going to put a lot of miles on this thing - value be damned!
MEK sent me info on the SEM coatings - I like the Pacific blue color. I'm going to order the color chart and maybe one can to paint a towel or something and lay it in the car - see how it looks.
I still think that even replacing the interior would only cost about $1,500 to $2,000 if I shop wisely. Dying it will cost me about $175 bucks!
