    this is my own car , it is a 72 body but modified to look like the 71 with side lights tailights & hood but 72 grilles , front & rear bumper painted body color , rust free & rotisserie restored , fresh 440, M1 single plane intake , Holl;ey carb , Ceramic coated Headman headders  , Hyd clutch , Blastsheild , A833 OD , Pistol grip , no console , new carpet &  headliner , Ralley dash with Tach  , 12" Cordoba disc brakes , Poly bushings , F & R sway bars , 3" TTi exhaust with Dynomax Turbos , new fuel tank & lines , Alum rad , 8 3/4  diff with 2.76 gears , no cracks in dash pad , , 7" police wheels , battery in trunk with kill switch , Tuf Wheel
     this car has a theoretical 270 MPH top speed will cruise at idle at 80 MPH , get fantastic milage
     I was building it to run the Silver State type races where you average 125+ MPH for 90 miles
     Asking 45k canadian , more then this was spent to build this car after buying the body

    I find this weird , these cars are closer to the E body in most ways & drive better than the earlier 68-70 but no one wants these cars , the last one I had took 3 years to sell & I basically had to give it away even being a real Big Block 4 spd car originally & in a rare color with a total production of well under 200
     Don`t spend $$ on a 71-74 if you ever want to sell it there is no market for them in my experience  :misbehaving:

    ................. and folks I saw this car going head to head with a brand new Porsche Carrera Turbo 4 a couple of months back.

    To be honest, I'm not a big fan of the 3rd gen Chargers - I think the nose is too long, especially as compared to the Plymouths.  That said, I like yours, especially the color-matched steelies.  I don't have the $$$, but if I did, I'd give some serious thought to buying it, in no small part because I'd have a real CP-built Mopar.  :droolingbounce:

     Maybe I will start the JFZ brake upgrade , looks like I will be keeping this one for a while  given the economy right now although the amazing shrinking canuck $ is making this a lot cheaper to buy  :woohoo:
     the Porsche was not that new Barry , it looked liek a late 90s 911 Turbo to me still not slow , or fast enough  :roflsmiley:

    Thats a nice charger  :hyper: I also like the color;  :cooldancing:  I had an  orange 72 rally with a sun roof and all the other goodies back in 83 loved it.

    Your car would be a great deal, Just not for me today.

    With that rear and OD, what kind of highway mileage are you getting?  Its got to be pretty good, when you're not stepping on it.   :bigsmile:

    1972 Dodge Challenger Rallye 340, AT, Code TB3=Super Blue, SBD=8/17/1971.  Yes, a Rallye without the fender louvers from the factory because of the body side molding option.

    well I drove it 50 miles to the track , 50 miles home & raced for 1/2 hr hard & used 9 us gallons just cruising I bet it is near 20 MPG or better
