Installing Fuzzies (What the hell?)

Ok here is my question. I got a Fuzzies kit from Legendary Auto. I was putting one side in last night and ran into a hang up. Outside went on with very little problem. But the inside panel had me stuck in the water. The kit wants me to screw or rivit in the fuzzy to the inner door panel. The original one I took off "pressed on" to the upper lip of the inner panel not screwed in. Am I missing something here? I don't see any place to screw or rivit. Any help on installing the inner pannel Fuzzies? 73 challenger   :walkaway:

There should have been a set of white plastic spacers and washers with your fuzzies.  The idea is that the rivets go through the fuzzy, through the spacer and through the rectangular places on the underside of the door that look like "defrost vents", and finally through the washer (for strength).  I don't have a pic handy, but I'll see if I can find one.

If you can find a pic that would be great becaue I had not idea what you mean. So I have to drill my origianl panels to make these things work. That seems a little F-ed up. Please let me know what you mean. I would really like to complete this.

My '70 inner window fuzzies press on. As I understand it, in later year Challengers they screwed on. Do you have 1970 door panels by chance?

Ya  I think MEK is correct.  The 70 model year pressed on but later years were different.

I think that they all press on. I know that they pressed on for my 73 Cuda.

There are two grades of aftermarket fuzzies for the E bodies. The less expensive ones go on with pop-rivets and the high dollar ones snap on like the originals did.

I contacted Legendary to see if I can get any info on the product. I am not willing to alter the panel to make them fit. I guess this project is shelfed until Tue.  :faint:

Correct.  I put on a set of the rivit ones recently. Wasn't too big of a deal, but next time I would spend the money and get the original style.

For the longest time the only replacement fuzzies you could get were the ones that required drilling and pop rivets on the inside panel, I did mine, a little extra work but look and work fine.
