AAR Stripe taste question...
« on: October 24, 2008 - 08:36:40 PM »
Would it be a horrible offense to place an AAR stripe on an non-AAR 1970 Barracuda? I love the look but not the logo at the tail end. I'm planning on black on black for the finish.

Let me know what you think before I make a offensive choice!

Geoff

I've owned 2 AAR clones, love the stripe and the look of an AAR personally.  Black on black is a great combo.   :2thumbs:

If you like the dash to ditto stripes but do not have an AAR, have you seen the V4_ stripes?

They were available in Black, White, Lime Daylight Florescent & Pink Daylight Florescent, here are two examples;

I bet Gary could make them in other colors as well.

 :clueless:  Are you referencing that it has an AAR stripe?  I think it just has a strobe stripe, not an AAR stripe.  :grinyes:

IMO, AAR stripe are very cool, if I had a '70 Barrauda, heck, any year Barracuda, I would think about putting one on.  :grinyes:

 :iagree: the Stripe Barry is referring to is the Strobe stripe and does look real cool, came in a reflective decal for the Pink and Lime.  Reflective Black on a Black car would look totally sick aswell :2thumbs: in either Strobe or AAR stripes.

Would anyone mind pointing me to the illusive "Gary". I've search  Challenger Gary and nothing came up.

Thanks!

I think AAR stripes are the coolest Cuda stripes. I used to have them on my clone back in the 70's. You can get them with your engine size in place of the AAR letters.

I'm doing the stripe on mine, it's not an AAR...

got my stuff from Gary as well, nice guy to deal with, fair prices and quick shipping.
