Yeee Haaa, visiting with Alan was a blast, from Miss Peggy's fine fried chicken dinner to cruisin with the man in his M46 was quite a day. Alan didn't let me do too much work but did give me a driving lesson, 440+6/4speed 101...hope I passed. Thanks for the hospitality rich man.

1st of all No lack of power, Once I got the feel of the shifter & could find the gear I wanted it drove about like any other floor shift, clutch is a little heavy compared to most. Torque is unbelievable as I could leave it in 4th & pull a hill at 25mph. Steering is manual & that's not something I'm not used to but the car tracked great, even with the OE 318-torsion bars the front did not dive or have excessive lean in the turns. Car overall feels very solid, I would not hesitate to drive it anywhere if it were mine.

Nothing in particular, would like to see a walk and talk around explaining what Alan M46 is with detail video footage of the scoops and trim and all if possible. That would be good to see :2thumbs: If Alan does not mind of course ?

Sorry about the language. I just feel like a geek when burnin the tires.  It is better to practice hooking the car up and getting traction to me. It was fun tho in a sense. You can hear the carbs open up good in that last video. It doesnt bog when throttled. I can see my poor work on the headliner install. But this is just an everyday driver.

Wade actually drove the car normal, I'm always a little heavy on the throttle.  He does very good except in gravel :grinno:

Here's something kinda cool.  When Wade gets inside with me and you see the rasin bran scoops over the hood, can you tell the center of the hood is from a 68 coronet?  This hood had a tunnel ram and 2 carbs poking out through the middle. A piece was grafted back in useing a coronet. Same contour as a 70/74 cuda hood.

If someone has a 70 block, I would trade this 68 short block for it.  My block has eagle rods, standard forged crank, KB 237's .010 in the hole. .030 bore. Nothing special except good valve reliefs to run some good profile cams.  It's either sell this engine, build a 70 440 engine or replace it all with a hemi just for fun. But that would take time and money.  It's a fun driver now

The rear tires look to big dont they?  275x60x15
