Jeff,

Is the car currently registered?  If so, it is licensed and just waiting for you to change title of ownership.  You can drive it home, just make sure you have a Bill of Sale from the seller.  If it is not currently registered, you will need to go to the Department of Motor Vehicles, in which the car is being sold, and get a temporary tag.

Yep, just drive it, and have proof of insurance with you (doenst have to be on the car itself but it doesnt hurt either)

and like the best advice on nearly everything else...    dont forget to breathe.

You have a PS3 yet?

If you have any money left over, go out and buy one.

The four days will fly by. I beleive one of the racing games has a Viper in it. Get some practice.

You tryin' to torture me??

Lol - yeah I have a PS3 AND an Xbox 360 - I have Forza 2 - that's how I did the pictures with the vanity tags on 'em.

Al - are any GTS models in 2 or 3 skill level?  I'm trying to find a model of an 00 through 02 - 96's had different wheels.  I want to paint it black so I can put it in my Viper for car shows and such.

I'm also going to see if I can't get the old Nitro TC3 running again - I can buy GTS bodies for it - painting a black Viper would be a cinch!

Hmm - interesting.  The only Gen II Viper in Forza 2 is the GTS ACR.  Now the ACR only adds about 10hp, and adds some suspension upgrades.  So I took the ACR, and "tuned" it until the horsepower was pretty close - 516 hp (mine has 512) and 561 lb-ft of torque (mine has 565.)  I added sway bars as my car has, and top-notch brakes.  I turned off traction control and ABS, and took it for a digital spin.

My analysis is this - these games are horribly unrealistic!!  I could get the tires to spin, but they would quickly grab and hold.  I could not maintain the spin into second gear.  At even 35 miles an hour, I couldn't break the tires loose, and though I could lock up the tires, I only had to slightly let up on the "pedal" to regain control.  The car would oversteer tremendously while braking into turns - a problem I'm not sure the Viper actually has.  In general though it was quite easy to drive, as I'm sure the real thing... ...won't be.

So though it was a good idea, I'm taking my own "feedback" with a grain of salt.  :)  It was fun, though, and certainly helped pass the time.
