weight lifted, figuratively and literally
« on: October 28, 2008 - 02:02:03 PM »
well, maybe its weight lost

when i went to the desert i weighed 242lbs

I had my PT test today and weighed 219lbs. that puts me at losing 23lbs while i was gone

I also maxed out my sit ups at 55 in 1 min
maxed out my push ups at 62 in 1 min (i did this in 40 seconds and stopped)
and ran a 10:57 1.5 mile in the cold outside.

with a waist measurement of 38 inches, i think i did really well. it gave me a score of 84 which is well within the passing range. I wasnt sure i was going to pass.

here are my stats before i left

42.5 inch waist
43 sit ups
52 push ups
12:37 1.5 mile run

my waist failed me the last time, i feel so much better now that i have passed. Just thought i would share one of my acheivements with you.

Drew, good for you!!   :clapping: :woohoo:  Nothing quite like getting in shape, is there?  I'm nowhere near where you are physically, but I've been losing weight lately too and haven't felt this good in years.  35 down, 45 to go!  :2thumbs:

Drew,

I guess that running in the desert paid off nicely.   :grinyes: I believe you told me you ran 274 miles over there.

Great job!!   :clapping:   :woo:   :woohoo:

Reading that you must be AF. If so the waist measurement is BS to 98% of the people that you talk to. I lost almost 35 lbs the 2nd time I went over there and that was just form working and not PT. I think its was mostly  lbs after not drinking for so long  :icon16:

Glad you passed it can be a bear with that test with the results. What are you in ANG, AFSC?
