Is the woodgrain the whole panel that I can get anytime or is it a sticker type deal? I need to get mine restored but I really dont need it right away. Also I am going to add a defroster to my car and my rallye gauge set does not have the fourth hole where the defroster/top lift switch goes. The set for 70-71 is missing the amp gauge, can I pull it out of the other set or if I get it converted do you have the gauges yourself? I would be interested in just converting it because I plan on running a pretty potent sound system in my car although I will probably run that power to a dedicated line and not through the gauge cluster. Thanks,

Brett

The woodgrain is produced as a flat panel that needs to be contoured and bonded to your existing metal backing plate which secures to the plastic bezel. This service is available anytime. I do have parts clusters, I am sure I can come up with a good amp gauge core for your cluster. or we can convert it to volt (small upcharge). Let me know for sure if you want in or not.

Mike,

Do you have any cores available for 70-71? I am doing a car for my boss that I need to convert to rallye cluster with white faced guages.
What's the voltmeter conversion look like?

Valid Questions.

Instrument Specialties is rather new and has been in business for about 2 years now.

The parts you send in are most certainly the ones you get back.

You can expect 3-5 week turn around time right now. If you have extenuating circumstances as far as turn around, I'll be happy to accomodate.

I have posted sample pics multiple times on this site regarding the quality of our work, here's a sampling.

Cool  :2thumbs: Thats what I was looking for .

IOU? HAHA, I like that one....  seriously, payment is not required until work is completed and can be made by personal check, money order or paypal.

On the ashtray do you remove the rivets and take the ashtray form the housing/door?

ETA Do  you also provide other plating services? i.e. radio braket etc.

Sounds good, but got a few questions.  1) Do we get our original parts back or do you substitute cores as do some other resto shops?  2) Do you calibrate the speedos & other gauges?   3) Can you install the VDO tach internals in a tic toc tach dash as does Redline Gauge Works?  4) Are the faces screen printed or do you apply decals?   Also, what's the expected turnaround time?
