The reason I went with 235x60x15 on my barracuda front with factory rallye rims on front was that when I had my 74 challenger, the 245x60 rubbed when full turning trying to make the turn in my driveway. It would catch my fender and bent it caused bt grabbing the wheel trim.

You will have to just watch how your front end height is set when checking your tires size. This did play a roll in my challenger episode

The pattern I see is that people are spending money after putting 245's on the front?   :swear:

I had read in places that 245's on the front were a standard size from the factory once you did the metric conversion.  Here is what I found in my searching.  I do not know how true this is maybe someone can confirm this?  Thanks.

225/60/15 = 25.63" vs. N/A
235/60/15 = 26.10" vs. E60-15 = 26.10" optional on most HP e-bodies
245/60/15 = 26.57" vs. F60-15 = 26.27" standard on Hemi'Cudas
255/60/15 = 27.05" vs. G60-15 = 26.80" standard on rear of AARs

You're off by one size. An E60-15 is the same as P225/60R15.

I was running a set of 245/60 BF Goodrich radials on set of the steel cop rims in the front with no issues. I think they are a 4 1/2 backspace? I had the car rather low too, agian with no issues. Maybe the type of rim might make a little difference?  I imagine you can always work on setting a set of bump stops to keep from damaging anything if the full turn is too much. Personally I felt the fatter tires were much more fun to drive on the street. I made the mistake of going over to manual steering and the 245's had to come off. Too hard to turn the wheel when the car is not rolling.

I have power steering, its going to be pretty easy to check i'll just put my 255's on the front, 235's on the back and go for a drive and see if they rub, if not i'll take the 235's and put the 275's on, if they do, i'll put the 235's back up front and take the 255's and put the 275's on.     :2thumbs:

My 235/60 15's will rub the right front fender at full lock when taking a dip with a passenger in the car. Give yourself some room.
