I hate to say it, but if you feel shipping is going to kill you, then your best bet might be to look into the smaller parts for now, and wait until you have more cash to get the bigger items.  The repro hoods are cheap enough that I would just wait until I had the money to get a new one.  Another option could be to check with local shipping depots for scratch and ding sales like one of the members posted last week, and hope that they have a hood.  Just keep in mind that if you do get a discounted damaged hood, you will most likely eat any savings with repairing the damage.

ALL reproduction hoods are on Back Order until mid december. Goodmark and AMD do not have these.

Keep an eye on craigslist, I've seen a couple show up. Your best bet though is probably going to some swap meets, there's a goodguys event in Pleasanton as we speak. The couple of mopar shows I've attended have had much better prices than I've seen on the auction pages...
