Darn &%^$## Windshield
« on: October 30, 2008 - 10:59:14 AM »
 :swear:

Just to vent - so I'm working on the roof of my 73 and decide to remove the windshield...It's not set very well and already about 1/2 isn't even sticking to the tar

So I start slowly pressing it out.....and......

CRACK!

brand new windshield ...ruined. Oh well - plenty of work I need to do before worrying about putting a new one in.

Know the feeling all to well. Did the same thing about 2 months ago. Add another 300 bucks or so to the project.  :swear:

Yep. It happens......done it myself and want to kill someone over it. Try doing it to a customers windshield. That really stinks. :banghead:

Where are you buying windshields??   :clueless:  Last I checked, I could get one for about 120 bucks.   :dunno:

Every time I've tried to pull a windshield or backlight I've cracked it  :stomp:

Looks like I need to do some shopping around. The last time I got one it was about $250 installed. That was a while back. I adjusted for inflation and figured it would be $300 now. Thanks for the heads up.
