auto/manual swap
« on: October 31, 2008 - 12:55:03 PM »
I have tried all kinds of keword searches with no luck, has anyone documented the process in swapping an auto trans to a manual trans?  I am considering it for my challenger.  Thanks for any help

I am glad to see that the three of you were able to get the swap done on schedule.  How long after I left did the postal carrier show up?

It was great to see you two again and meet Wade even if it was only for an hour.   :2thumbs:

Here are a couple photos I took along the way.

ok folks, i just got back in town and have been getting moved into the new house and getting internet and all set up. i will post pictures tomorrow. promise. sorry for the delay all

oh, and the postal carrier never showed up, some how the part was on its way back to the shipper... hmmm. but i got the new pad next dayed from brewers and got it in panama city. we had to rig some stuff just so i could get home and i am still working bugs out of my system. i need to get a 70 style shifter, but that is going to have to wait.

once you have the lines and linkage out, pull the transmission mount out and gently slide the transmission out and down
