from here we moved back to the top of the car and removed the seats, automatic shifter and brackets, and drivers side vent

when checking for fitment of the new transmission hump we noticed that it had an extra lift where we suppoes the cudas have a bump in the floor that the challengers dont. we smashed it down.

Yea im bookmarking this one! Lets see more is possable. Iv been looking for what it took to convert auto to manual.

remove the brake pedal by undoing the nut on the pedal rod and sliding the rod out. then lift up on the silver part and the pedal should drop right out. also remove the drivers side vent and pull the padding behind it back. this will need to be done to drill two holes for the clutch pedal bracket.

when the holes are drilled, slide the bracket mount through the holes

install the new clutch/brake pedal assembly and clutch pedal bracket (on left in picture. hook up the brake pedal and install the clips for it. next comes the fun part

to make the installation of the over center spring easier, put the short hook end in a vice and lock it down. take washers and install them in the spring as shown. make sure you leave enough room to get a screwdriver or pliers in them to remove the washers after the spring is in. i believe that we ended up using 8 or 9 washers.

***CAUTION***

That is one tough M F'n spring.
