Internal oilleak?
« on: November 03, 2008 - 07:06:16 AM »
When opening the box with the new Milling oilpump I noticed that the papergasket had a damage from the shipping, in the area between the drive and
the hole for the pickup channel. Could that lead to a internal loss of oilpreassure? It will not give external oilleak.  :1zhelp:

The paper is just tore right?  It will not have or get an internal leak. It is sealed where the pump seperates from the pump body. This is where the gears are are. I have had ripped ,and torn gaskets many a time come in the box from bumping around. You could post a picture of the gasket, but I am quite sure you'd be ok. You do need the little o ring on the pump shaft locater that goes into the block boss tho.

Correct friend  It's torned a little bit and I didn't think it would matter but better check first. I'm not a friend of silicone in the oilpump.
