Variable speed wipers w/ electric washer were standard on '70 R/T's. The variable-speed wiper switch on the dash was a twist switch (in fact, all the switches were twist, not toggle). The variable speed switch doesn't have any click detents other than to click it off. The standard model Challenger came with the two-speed wiper that you clicked clockwise for low or high speed. The variable switch has the washer switch built in. You press the stem in to activate the washer.
