Hi Mike,
The heads look great, looks like they did a nice finish on the deck as well.
I noticed that the valve springs are dual with a damper, does the cam maker say anything about breaking in the cam with the inner spring removed? I only ask because I had a cam where they stated that was the proper procedure with the same type valve springs you have.
Good question Eric.
I spoke with Bullet cams Tech and wrote down their recommendations. Then I gave that info and their phone no. to Angie at Mopar Engines West who did the heads.
Angie highly commended the repair work done earlier to the head. Said it was some of the best repair work she had seen in a long time.
Based on the cam I'm using, the lift is .565. Bullet said to keep spring pressure under 350 lbs for the break in period regardless if using single or dual spring. So far it doesn't look like I'll need to remove the inner spring because the cam valve spring requirements fall just under the 350 lbs.
Dave her Dad will be doing the Dyno on it once I get everything put together and bring it over. Rocker shafts are getting polished today. Intake is getting bead blasted too.
