That was the funniest E-Mail anyone ever sent me.

These people knew NOTHING other than Obama was black. It was truly sad to hear how stupid they were. They loved the idea of staying in Iraq until will win the war.   :screwy: Yet they voted for Osama Obama??   :clueless:

:iagree: nothing pissed me of more than hearing the reply of "because he's black" or "he can do so much for the black community"
1. how can you be so ignorant(both sides) to say he's black? he's 1/4 black he's half white, and Arab-African mix. Also, look at what he stands for. This isn't change, it's old ideals reworded and repackaged. Obama's ideals run along the lines of Marx, Lenin, Stalin, and a hint of Putin. Man, oh man, how ignorant this country can be. And people ask me why I'm not really a people person
2.How selfish can you be? OK, I am the type of person who looks out for No.1, but to vote on a president to say he'll do something for your race? I think that's pretty selfish. Whites never did that when a new president got elected. Shoot, Johnson did more for the black community(civil Rights Act, 1964) than Obama ever will

........ depressed because of the present financial crisis, embarrased because the political system has failed the Americian people if this election offered the best canadates available.

The system failed to offer good candidates long before this election.  I don't think we've had viable LEADERSHIP candidates for a very long time.  No one who could do the job well is narcissistic enough to want the media spotlight or ignorant criticism.  We all can think names, of whatever race/background/etc, that we WISH would run, bu they're too smart to do it.

"Physician heal thyself" Until we look in the mirror and see where the real problem lies we will continue down the same path and expect the goverment to "fix" our now disfunctional country. It's like the song by "Casting Crowns" called "Slow Fade" Our problems didn't happen overnight. It has been a long slow downward slide. Our trade deficit, our dependency on foreign oil, our federal deficit and our consumer hungry nation needs to look at ourself in the mirror and stop thinking our problems lie somewhere in the twilight zone and expect our clueless congress to fix it. Republicans typically known as the "Conservative party", with smaller government, less spending, conservative values has done nothing to the nature. We have bigger gov't, bigger spending and bigger deficit. What this nation needs is self accountability. What we've lost as a nation wasn't taken from us. We gave it away!! We can't expect our goverment to fix it!! We need to look in our own backyard and then enable our elected officials to do what needs to be done and then tighten out belts and not complain when the needed changes come. Just my  :2cents:

It was never about race to me. I just dont believe in the guys politics. He has less leadership ability than Palin when you get down to it. I hope he does some good things for our country. I think for me it was about our moral compass as a nation, we are lost in the woods and getting more so by the day. I dont know anyone who would be happy to have their young teenage daughter to have the ability to walk into a clinic and get an abortion, much less without parental consent or knowledge. I am not happy but I am willing to give him the benefit of the doubt, to sit back and give him the chance to do something positive. Oh yeah and with a liberal congress and president I damn well KNOW they will be trying to come for my guns, let them take the criminals guns not mine.
:iagree: a thousand times over... all i had to worry about in this elections were moral issues, and for the new president to claim to be christian is a lie in my book.... any true "christian" wouldn't promote abortion or the teaching of "alternative lifestyles" to grade school kids!!

Unfortunately accountablility isn't taught in school anymore. That's my opinion anyway. People won't take responsibility for their own actions and that is a bad omen for our nation. I think this thread is going to get ugly....

if things work out as they have in Canaduh they will take the guns away ... from the honest people which has had zero effect on the criminal element other than they can now be pretty sure who ever they come up against will no longer have a gun which to me is stupid , I would rather see everyone have a gun that way when a criminal pulls a gun there will be more good poeple with guns than bad

Many of you all start out by saying that it is not about race then you go through this long diatribe about liberal this and liberal that and hard earned this and that.  I want to know how many of you read his plan?  If your opinion was based on sound bites then something is wrong with that.  I am personally glad we now get a breath of fresh air in the White House.  This could have never been about race in my opinion.  Number one, there is not enough black people in these United States that could single handedly elect Mr. Obama.  WHITE people believe in this man and eventhough I am a Republican I voted for him because I am tired of how my party ALWAYS attempts to control the argument through fear.  I could go on but I won't.  I am so tired of this but I am happy today.  Lastly, if anyone thinks Ms. Palin is capable of being President you are being intellectually dishonest.

Good Luck President Obama!! I agree with most of you, it's not about his color. The media doesn't see it that way. FIRST AFRICAN AMERICAN PRESIDENT!!!! We all know his family heritage. I did see where in one state, one on the east coast, where he received 97% of the black vote, but hey, it's not about race is it??

So is it about race when 100% of White America voted for Bush or Kerry in the last election?  Give me a break.  Is is about race when white America votes for a ticket with Sarah Palin on it when everyone with a brain knows she is not ready to lead.  Then you have the audacty to say "county first."  Give me a break.

What makes Palin any less able to run a country than Obama? Intellectually dishonest? People voted the way they wanted and I for one am tired of people trying to make my choice something that only an ignorant person would do. I voted my conscience. I dont begrudge you your choice and I dont think you have the right to nit pick mine. I know this might seem like a heated response but I am not mad or trying to sway anyone to feel the way I do. I think it is about time to let sleeping dogs do just that.

I have no way of speaking the visions I always get when I see the futue. I do see a lot of trouble coming, but not from the words of Obama.  Government ways and american living is going to be a lot different.  There will be more take then give as time goes by. It's a clear picture. But the USA will prevail. For now, we can just hope for the best :2thumbs:

Sorry, you are wrong. This election shows where the true racism is, and that is with 95% of blacks voted for Obama, and 61% whites voted for Obama. If the majority of white Americans were racist, Obama would have never even gotten the dem nomination.

I truly hope I am wrong about my opinion of at least the next 2 years will go. Obama and the dem controlled house and senate will raise taxes on everything to pay for universal everything and it will spark a depression worse than the 1930s. One thing you have to notice is that most repubs are saying right now that they will support Obama. Hopefully that is true and he will work down both sides of the aisle to do the right thing for America. But guess what....if the next 2 or 4 years does not go well.....all you are going to hear is that Bush and the republicans gave them this mess and it is going to take 8 years to fix it.

Less than 1 year ago the Dow was at $14,000, a new record. Like someone said, the dems have had control for 2 years and they have accomplished nothing but blaming Bush and the right for all of our wrongs. The republicans tried 3 times to put more oversight on Fannie and Freddie, but the dems blocked all attempts because they were getting huge donor money from F & F.

This all began with Carter and doubled down with Clinton to provide more housing for people who could not afford it. Yes, Wall Street had greed, but the American public, (not all) had greed in their mind as well since they wanted more house more stuff they could not afford.

Higher taxes and bigger govt have never worked, and they never will. Carter tried it, and he didn't last long. Poor people have always voted democrat and they are still poor. The only thing that will move this country forward is personal responsibility and hard work to succeed.

God Bless America.

To sum it all up guys - it's done. McCain said it best, it's over now it's time to unite again as one people and forget the dramas of the campaign, you are no longer "split". Support Obama and give him what he needs. Sitting here crying about it for 8 years won't do jack shlt. You're President needs you as does you country IMO everyone should be at the very least giving Barack Obama the chance. He looks the part, speaks the part, just needs to walk it.

Wait a minute, let me get this straight. You are saying that 100% of white people voted for either Kerry or Bush? I may be wrong, but was there another candiddate to vote for? That's not including third party, or independents.

Ahh, but you may have a point since 61% of white people voted for Obama, I can only conclude that the country is racist, because he is not black. His mother was white as wonder bread, and his father was only half black.

Let me say that I did not vote for him because he is a Liberal, I really don't care what color he is, because I am not racist. But it is too bad that many people are.
