74 Challenger
« on: November 07, 2008 - 11:54:07 AM »
I'm considering selling my Challenger.  It's as far as I've been able to determine, a numbers matching car.  360 auto, open rear, originally white, now nasty red.  I drove it daily before I started taking it apart, so I know the motor isn't hurt etc.  I've gutted the interior, fenders are off, hoods off, trunk lid's off.  Dash pad's still in, but cracked.  It has a standard guage cluster, good door panels, nice console.  Rust on inner fenders where the hood hinges bolt on ( I have replacement patch panels )  Some rust in the usual places, drivers side floor, wheel opennings, rear quarters ( I have 2 replacement panels, not OEM ) rockers.  I have 2 replacement doors, one in great shape, one needs a couple dings worked out, not rusty.  The biggest problem is the firewall, has a few rust holes.  I also have replacement seat skins for the front, the rear are very nice originals.  Has a wing for the trunk, the one that sits on the lid, not on stands.  Ralleye wheels in decent shape.

Just looking for a ballpark idea wht I should ask, if I decide to bail on it.  I'm at work but I did find a couple pics, first 2 are what it looked like before I starten dismantling it, the last is how it looks today.

Thanks,

P.G.

Worth lots more together then apart. Of corse you have hears that before.  The picture you show. That is rusted when you took it? Like under the hood with the holes, the rusted floors n quarters or whatever? If so, it would of still sold for a good price assembled.

If it is apart with all the bad you mentioned, maybe 2500 to 3500 is what I'd guess. The matching numbers helps

I'll probably get more for it parting it out.  Hate to do it, but money is money.  I'll wait a while and see how badly the economy tanks after the first of the year before I start.

Sleepychallenger needs that hood you got there. I like the antenna in the back, nice touch.   Has it got an e body fm radio in there?  I'd be interested in that.

If you part it out I am intersted in some trim pieces, the DODGE letters, and if you cut it up I need the windshield channel section of the roof :stirpot:
