I have the Autozone Rotors on mine.  Pick them up at the store if you can.  It took 3 tries to get 2 good rotors from fed-ex.

I would rather get the WIlwood 4-piston setup here:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Wilwood-Disc-Brakes-140-2721-62-74-Mopar-Chrysler_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQ_trkparmsZ72Q3a1205Q7c66Q3a2Q7c65Q3a12Q7c39Q3a1Q7c240Q3a1318Q7c301Q3a1Q7c293Q3a1Q7c294Q3a50QQ_trksidZp3286Q2ec0Q2em14QQhashZitem390015104701QQitemZ390015104701QQptZMotorsQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories

Then find a Mopar (not some GM unit) brake booster.  YOu can find a good used for one for $100.

For master cylinder, get the new style and with a four-bolt adapter:

Don't use that GM-looking junk!

:iagree: Don't spend a ton of money to make your front end heavier.
I have the Wilwood setup (drum to disc) and it stops fine.  :grinyes:

That's $682.29. 11.75 rotors are additional on that. No flex lines included.

I don't know if I see $682.29 worth of better braking and handling on the street or road course out of that kit over an existing 10.75 stock setup. But if you have drums now, factoring the cost of a stock 73-74E-body or 73-76 A-body conversion that doesn't sound like a bad deal at all. The kit was really setup for competitive drag racers trying to get weight off the front. But the weight reduction is probably equal or more than a $1000 set of four aluminum rims. And you wouldn't get 40 lbs of the front alone. Another way to look at it.

He can get stock 11.75 rotors with larger bearing for under $50 ea. Then under $60 bearing spacers from Dr Diff to convert the 70-72 spindles to accept 73 up A and B-body disks. Then buy 11.75 pin type caliper adapters for under $75/pr

So for under $150 he can get 11.75 rotors. And if he wears one out, he can go to the store and get one for $50.

Now this is perfromance brake kit: Willwood 12.19" rotors and 6 piston Superlite Caliper Kit with big 12.90" x 1.25" vented, drill and slotted rotors. $2000 a pair.

That's INCORRECT. That is the price for the whole kit, both sides. It does not come with lines. You can get it right at Jeg's.

You're right. Just the way they specifically said "This buy-now is for one (1) Wilwood Heavy Duty Brake Kit" threw me off. Sorry about that. I will edit my post. Ebay just puts my guard up.

No biggy. I know because I have the same brakes on my car. They were way cheaper a few years ago, but I guess that's inflation. They are good if you want improved braking and 35lbs off the front end of your car. I have a major thing about spending money to add weight and I never do that if I can avoid it. If you plan to road race of course go get some super huge cast iron rotors and hubs and knock yourself out. I like to go fast and quick. That's how I roll. You can keep all those heavy 1970's HP sucking parts and I'll take the quick ET slips. I don't like to lose.  :pullinghair:
