What are a good set of 1970 Challenger doors worth?
« on: November 08, 2008 - 01:01:29 AM »
Doors are complete and in very good shape. Glass, trim, hinges, interior panels all included. Interior panels are kind of rough. Are 70 doors worth more than other years? Just looking for a fair price to help finance some other parts.

Around a 100 bucks without the hinges is close. Bad door panels really wont up the price. Shipping hurts. A local buyer would pay more for good doors

I'd guess $500, but it's tough to say without pictures.

I'll get some pics in a few days. They are at the body shop with my Challenger. I was going to use them, but the body guy said that there was nothing major wrong with my doors, and it would be better to keep the original metal since its a 73, so I dont need to use them. I just have to go over and pick them up (Groan, they are heavy).

I was originally thinking $300 each or $500 for the pair, since I saw a lot of bare shells at Carlisle going for $300 each.

I really wouldnt want to ship them. Hopefully someone close will want them.

At the end of the day it comes down to what you want or if you feel like helping a member and revising what they could have it for.

Looks like Red R/T could use them.

I bought a really really good 70 'Cuda passenger door from Eric for the total sum of $50.00, what a champion.  The door he sold me is without a lie, awesome. Zero rust and straight as with the smallest of dings in it.   I also had another Member here (383efi) deliver the door to a shipping depot for free.   Would not accept any money.  This is why i love this place.  People helping people. :2thumbs:

There is nothing more I would like to do then give someone a great deal. Unfortunately, I have been unemployed since February, and am just plain short on cash. I'm trying to raise money by selling parts, so that I can buy some parts for my Cuda, because no one seems to want it as a project, and I have to sell it to pay some big bills coming up, so I'm just trying to do what I can to get it sold. I'm hoping that by getting carpeting, headliner, front seat covers, and a dash cap, I can at least get the interior in and looking good. I also traded a car to a body shop for some body work and paint on my Challenger, and I want to buy some stripes for it from ChallengerGary, as I may have to sell it too.

Then I will have no ebodies, and will have to drop out of CC in disgrace. :sadwavey:

Hey Jeryst,

Do not think for a minute that you would not be welcome here.  I have gotten to know some great people here who do not have an E-body but thought they should not be here like you are talking.  This could not be further from the truth, i think and in reality, if you share a passion for a certain make of car and share commen interests with other members here, then that person belongs here just as much as any other person weather they have an E-body or not.

So please do not feel like you will be dejected in any way buddy.  We all have problems in life and i respect what you want to achieve in trying to get back on your feet. :2thumbs:
