Wow that sucks...I can relate, the first drive after we painetd my cuda...the driver side rear wheel came off.

I was going down a country road, on my way into town after finishing the car, and felt a horrible vibration.  I started to slow down, got down to 5 - 10 mph, and bam, back of the car slamed down, and the wheel went striaght past me into the ditch.  All in all the damage was not too bad. Kinked the quarter a bit and some damage to the wheel lip.

My dad, who painted the car, was following me into town, watched the whole thing go down and was not impressed!!!

A week later it was all fixed up and ready to go!

Good luck and hope the damage is not too bad!

Decades ago I pulled my dented right fender. I hammered on this thing for three days straightening it out, until it didn't even need putty. I primered it, put it back on, drove it to school...and came out to find somebody had hit it. I was not a happy camper.

Too bad Neil.  I feel for you.  I never put anything larger that a 235/60/15 on my fronts for that reason. With a wrong offset, even a 235 will rub.

I have a friend that does painless dent repair and I've seen him pull full creases and large dents out without ANY body work. A VERY PROFITABLE business! Usually about $75.  Is yours workable?  Make sure that you ask around before you have anyone start hammering on it. It can probably be saved.

Not that you really want to store your car in another country, but you have a spot here at my place if you can't find any other location to get it away from the weather.  Plenty of room in my shop.
The funniest thing about this particular signature is that by the time you realize it doesn't say anything it's to late to stop reading it.

I might take you up on that Cody
I have no clue if I can get the fender straight without damaging the paint , if not I guess I will have to remove the fender & have it painted & see if the color matches after that

Make sure that you ask a couple of dent removal places to look at it before you have anything done.  I dropped a satellite receiver on my wife's hood once. She wasn't happy seeing the baseball sized wrinkled dent on her hood. I took it to a Dent Wizard, who fixed it so well that I couldn't see where the dent used to be.

I love the color and detailing you did! So I hope you can get the fender back in shape to match the car again. It really SUCKS when you have to redo anything like that after all that work. Would like to see more pics of your too. Beautiful work!  :cooldancing:

Oh man Neil that sucks! I did something similar to my car a while back. I was hanging the already painted front fenders and thought I had it right. I shut the door and took a nice slice of orange off the edge of the door down low. Made me absolutely sick to my stomach. I have not done much with my car either. I hope it is not as bad as it looks and it can be fixed without too much trouble.
