:smilielol: :smilielol: :smilielol:  I love the method of engine install.  That is awesome!  Was budwieser involved?  (jk)

Nice looking project, and it looks to be coming along quite well.

Hey Neil, I  have a question about your exhaust manifolds. I had a couple of sets of the magnum manifolds. I still have one set left and I was wondering if you have done anything exotic to yours like extrude honing or porting? I did a little bit with a set like taking out the heat riser flap and doing a bit of porting but nothing much at all. I would love to run them as they are much quieter and look better imo. How much hp are you giving up by using them? Great pics btw, seeing you holding up the car somehow makes that form of install seem easier.   :2thumbs:

Love it!  :woo:
The funniest thing about this particular signature is that by the time you realize it doesn't say anything it's to late to stop reading it.

They look to be GM holley dueces. I read a story about Mr. Norms using them because they were cheaper by a bit. Other than the fuel inlet swap they are the same as far as I know.   :dunno:

The carbs are 69 RR mechanical carbs , date coded too , these all have the accellerater pumps on them , & they all have metering blocks so you can tune the jetting , if you add the metering blocks & the race bowls there is not enough space between the carbs so you have to use the side hung float bowls . As I said these are as delivered 69 RR carbs Not GM application & trust me these carbs were not cheap to get , but when you stand on the loud pedal all 3 carbs are instantly Wide open , no waiting for vacuum to get the outbaord carbs involved !! I figured these would be the killer setup on top of 512 " of solid cammed big block & allow all the tuning advantages .

The exhaust manifolds are no longer stock , anyone who knows me knows I cannot sacrifice power , I did not get them extrude honed although I probably should have , you have to draw the line financially somewhere , but there are extensively ported everywhere I could reach & the heat riser flap oddly fell out after grinding on it LOL

I would love to take credit for being a strong MOFO & I am not weak     But the reality is if you place the stands under the front spring hangers it is only maybe 150# lift to raise the nose of the car , you just need a friend to raise the stands while you lift , I was able to hold it long enough quite easily to have my friend remove both stands , take the picture & replace the stands set much higher so the engine would roll under the frame rail

Very nice progress, Neil!!!  That's going to be awesome once you have it all finished up. :2thumbs:  I still remember how wicked your old 'Cuda was and miss seeing an avatar or signature photo of it, but I think this Chally should fill that void (at least for my eye candy needs). :lol2:  Oh, and I love how someone else seems to think it's not too bad to pick up the front end of these cars while the engine is out.  I did that for mine when I needed to pull it off the stands it had been resting on for close to five years! :faint:

Nice!!!!!!!!  :2thumbs:

Are the heater hose nipples on your water pump housing the same size?
My heater core has two different size inlet/outlet and my water pump nipples are both the same size (440source nippels and alum pump housing) Im trying to figure out how to make the hoses work or what is wrong.

Seems like you can just find the "sweet spot" for the stands, then just load up weight in the trunk, then the front should just raise up on it's own.

My heater core is like yours with 2 different sizes , 1/2" & 5/8" , I had to install a bushing to use my 1/2" nipple in my water pump housing
