How long have we had ads?

Just curious really, when did the ads at the bottom of the page start creeping in?

Been there as long as I have been here....I think. but they have become more showy lately. They used to be plain text 3 at a time.

Pretty good man, thanks for asking. Been pretty busy getting my AS4711 welding tickets, and looking at going for ASME9 at the beginning of next year.

I have noticed the ads getting more showy too, thats the only reason I noticed them there. They used to be the nice clean simple google ads, with no moving parts or pictures.

Its good if we click on them once in a while as it helps the site!

I think they've only been here for around 6-8 months.
There was a thread about it, try a search if you want to know the exact date.
