    coupman you got a nice shop, mine is the old milk parlor im converting into a shop, just got the cieling done need to get lights and electric done next spring put a 10by10 door in the milking area, twice as long and taller cielings as this room, and where the bulk tank was make that my shop area,benches air compressor,etc.

    Hey Farmertan, I used 6 T-8 Florescent 4 bulb fixtures, they will fire(light) down to 0 degrees if you don't have heat.  I have a 26x24' garage.  You may be able to just use 2 and get good light.  They cost about 50 dollars US each without the bulbs.

    ive never seen 8ft 4bulb they would be easier to get home in one piece,and your right i need something to fire at 0, whent to homodepot and didnt like the ones they had where did you get yours.

    I get them from a local Electrical supply, yes the 4' tubes are much easier to handle.  Don't buy anything without an electronic ballast, otherwise the fixture will hum you right out of the garage.LOL

     Get another coat on the nails and joints,, then a drywall texture bordin34. Finish with some enamel paint and your shop will look great. :stirpot: ;)

    Front shop is for storage only...rear shop is all business, yeah it's messy, but functional....lol
