The suspension supports the car at these points (red circles). Our cars rely on the rails and the body to "stay straight". I remember being able to wiggle my rear frame rails by hand before the trunk floor and quarters were welded in. Your car is supported only at the ends, which might allow the car to flex (especially at the rear). I relied on the suspension to support for the panel changes. was afraid to even load on a trailer till everything was welded. I'm planning to support at multiple points (red and yellow circles) for floorboard replacement and firewall / cowl repairs. However, Sean... I am probably going overboard!

Got the Cuda back to the house and in the garage last night. That's the good news. Unfortunately, it stayed out in the rain over the weekend while I was in Chicago. Not problem right, it was already covered in epoxy primer. Well, come to find out, I got it a little thin in a few spots and some of the rust came back. Should be easy to clean up with a scotchbrite pad and then cover it with a little more epoxy primer. Small set back but not a tremendous one.
