Been spending a few hours over the past couple days installing and tweaking the sheet metal on the car.
The valance panel that I bought off of eBay got a little love with the hammer and dolly. The tabs in the upper corners were bent over pretty bad so I spent some time getting those squared away. They are not quite yet where I want, but I can at least fit the valance on!
I think I finally have the decklid gaps where I want them.
One problem I see popping up impacting the gaps is the way the decklid doesnt match up with the tailpanel. The decklid matches up at the quarters but Ive got a progressive overhang of the decklid as it progresses toward the middle of the decklid. Im afraid that if I push out the top of the tailpanel to match the deck lid, it will pull the quarters closer together thus screwing up my decklid gaps.
Ive also been playing with the top of the quarter/door alignment on both the sides of the car. Im getting close, just a little more tweaking and I think Ive got it licked.
One spot that I dont know how to take care of is a big gap where the tailanel meets the tailpanel support bracket. There a 1/4 by 3/8 (approx) hole on both sides that Im not sure how to fill.
