My finished Project
« on: November 11, 2008 - 11:16:30 AM »
I Finally got my '64 all cleaned up and ready to go.  She's all stock with a couple add-ons.  I bought her about six months ago from the family of a little old lady in San Diego.  It's amazing what a little bit of red paint and a couple of accessories will do to a 45 year old car.  A special thanks goes out to Jason Muckala of Temecula, CA, without his hard work and know how, I would have never finished this car.

Can I post an ebay link as well, or is that forbidden? Thanks.

Woah buddy...  Cardinal sin - posting about a finished classic and not posting any pics!!   :nono:

Lol - paste an Ebay link if you must - that doesn't mean you're selling it, does it?  If it's the original auction, it might not be available anymore - Ebay only leaves them up for 3 months or so, maybe even less.

Welcome, and!!!!!

:useless:

Yay!!!  I'm the first one to post it!!  Woo hoo!!!   :woohoo:

Welcome to the site.  That's a good looking little Valiant there - a real sleeper.  I keep looking at those and thinking maybe I'd like to have one, but that would mean selling my Challenger and that would bring out the  :villagers:  :villagers:  :villagers: around here and I'd have to run for my life.  :22yikes:

Oh, and like Jeff (Viperman) said -  :useless:

I'm still not real good at downloading pictures, so here is my ebay link that took me all day to do yesterday (with a little help from mamacita).  I'm kind of hoping it doesn't sale, but I made a deal with my wife, so we'll see what happens.

Man that's a sweet lookin' lil' car!  Poor thing looks like it sits on wheelbarrow tires.

Oddly enough though, I like it!

So why finish it and then turn around and sell it?  Or was this one of those "flip-it" projects?

Your starting bid should get some attention, but unfortunately these days, reserves seem to bring out all the jokers lately - BELIEVE me - I've been an Ebay-aholic this year.  These guys can tell ya why.  :)

So you might see it get a bid or two from some kiddies but nothing serious enough to exceed the reserve.  But hey you said you hope it doesn't sell, so that'd be good for you, right?!

Good luck - sale or not.  Car looks great!

Viperman, it definitely wasn't my intention to clean it up and sale it, but I ended up making a deal with the little woman last week.  Her old clunker was on it's way out, so I talked her into buying a brand new car.  The 0 percent financing was just to much to bear. :o  So now she has a new car and I have to replace the down payment.  I think it goes without saying that I got the short end of the stick. Financially, it would be better if it sales, but if it doesn't... you won't hear me complaining. :grinyes:

Thanks Dutch!  Yeah it was a tight squeeze, but Jason and the folks at tti found a way to make it work.  I couldn't be happier with the way it turned out.

Yeah - I know all about the "deal of a lifetime" type situation...  I just had one too - it got me one of these:

What did your wife get?

Well it's a sweet car and frankly, I hope it doesn't sell...

Boy that is a nice looking ride.  I'd like to take one of those on a spin up to Palomar Mountain for an hour or two. :burnout: You had me wondering about the name "Viperman" and the avitar with the Barracuda.  Do you have one of those as well?

As far as what kind of car did my wife get, I'm affraid I'll have to plead the 5th on that, as it would likely lead to my eternal bannishment from this forum.  I get enough flack from my good friend Jason Muckala regarding our recent purchase.  I don't need any more verbal abuse.  :roflsmiley:

Aw now you've piqued our curiousity!!  You have to tell us now!  Come on - Cavalier?  Mustang?  Ooo, Focus?  Or no, wait, VW Beetle...  :)

Here's my 'Cuda.  I can proudly say that at 29 years of age, my car collection is - in effect - complete.  Of course, we all know that's never true...

My apologies - no attempt to hijack your thread.

I...  can't... bring...myself... to say ...it!   :grinno:  Let's just say it's the #1 selling car in the world, and like most women, performance and the look and style of their cars mean about as much to them as the 7th game of a World Series (not much).

By the way, nice Cuda dude.  You are obviously the envy of your town young man.  Congrats!
