Hi Steve
Thanks for asking. Unfortunately my mom got sick amd passed away in early March so over the last eight months not much has gotten done. I have made some progress and I will be posting some pics soon. I live in Churchville, are you still here or did you move ( could always use some help LOL ). Funny, I was just telling someone about the superbird guy, I think his sons name was Eric. I was wondering if he was still there.

Very Sorry to hear about your Mom.

"Chuck" was the superbird guy, Eric was his son.

No, I don't live there any more, but grew up in Chili and went to Churchville-Chili schools back in the 70's/80's. Still have a few friends around there, too.

We moved to central NC in 2005. We love the weather, but wish we had more friends and stores like we had "back home".

Just because I'm 700 miles away doesn't mean I can't try to be of some help with your ride! I've had about 30 Challengers and currently own the purple 70 in my sig pic and I'm also working on a 73 driver.

Well, finally getting some more work done, in between daughters dance, soccer, house and yard work, etc. The engine is done and sitting on the stand next to it so I guess I better get going on it because I want to hear it run before the end of the summer.

Great job challenger x. I am sure envious of your finished front suspension. I am tearing mine down now, and it is a mess.  :pullinghair:

Nice process...  I also had my caliperson the rear of the rotar.  Got them swapped to the correct way now...

I used to go to Rochester when my company was making parts for Xerox.

Well, I can't belive it but my car finally is off the jack stands and on it's way for final body work and paint. This will be the sixth and hopefully last body guy to touch the car. Everyone is looking for work but I have heard evey excuse you can imagine. The engine is done and sitting waiting for a home. I hope it won't be another 6 months for an update or pic with paint.

Awesome!    :2thumbs:

Make sure you tell your new body people to MASK the springs and other undercarriage parts that you don't want painted. You've got way too much time and effort into it to let them overspray it.

If they give you a funny look like my guy did, find someone else.

Yes Steve, I was very clear to him that whenever he was ready to spray to let me know and I will be there to mask everything. I realive it would have been better to paint with everything off the car, but circumstances just wouldn't allow it, so you work with what you have.

I can't believe that it has been over a year since the tow truck picked up my car. but after 6 years it looks like it may have some paint by the end of the weekend. It may just be engine bay and jambs but it is something. This body guy stripped the whole car back to bare metal again and boy am I glad he did. He found lots of cover-up (aka lazy) body work. Hopefully more pics to come, oh and lots more questions when assembly begins. See you in Carlisle.
