Wow.  I just about got knocked off my horse Thursday morning... But have no fear, I'm still here!

Yes this car is a liar. LIAR!  (sorry for that little outburst)...  The hockey stick says 340 as does the pie.  I guess either the previous owner couldn't stomach writing 360 on her or I wasn't suppose to tell... Eitherway, she needs paint and I may do away with the pie.

Initially, we finally came to agreement on PCPurple with white stripe, top and interior.  But some Collector friends of ours reminded me of the trouble with the white interior turning yellow.  So we may stick with the black stripe, top and interior.  This would cause us to go with our second color of SGGreen!

We are SW Philly and have attended Carlisle every year from 2000 through 2006.  Since my wife's birthday is July 6th, I thought it was high time to do something more girly in '07.   Now this past season, I got a room booked at the StarDust for the first time!  But I had to cancel due to ongoing illness.  But we will definitely be there next year if we still have the car (being an asset and all, you never know).

But if there is a motley crue from here (hooD, thedodgeboys, ViperMan, Stroker, DoNotChallengeHer & The Cuda Guy) that hangs together at Carlisle, then we'd really like to dive in! :dogpile:

Oh and, hi Sweden; hezzel!  I need culture so I really like to shoot-the-sheep with those outside the U.S.  :ylsuper:

There is a thread on Carlisle that gets going pretty hot around May time frame it has the hotel info ect where everyone stay ect.  A lot of the members who attend stay at this hotel and we all gather there after the show and hang and go to dinner and other things like that.  Hope to see you guys there.

So I found the car in the Northeastern United States.  In not so many words, the guy told me to make him an offer.  :ebay:So far, I knew that he'd been offered $11K.  I knew that I had to act fast and there was no time to contact my wife.  I was thinking that I could go lower, but I wanted to at least get his attention; so I offered $15K..........  :droolingbounce:

A RUNNING '70 BARRACUDA CONVERTIBLE!  It had been nearly five years since I last saw one of these convertibles go for $15 or less; and it was a mess without a running motor.  Now I do believe that the bubble has burst on these cars and the prices have leveled out, but common...  Is anyone cussing with a smile yet?

BTW: There is also a fun story about telling my wife that night.  See, over the years, I would get all worked up about a convertible that might be in our price range.  So on more than one occasion, I greeted her upon returning from work with a big happy "Guess what we're getting"!!!!  So we would look it over and decide that it too much for us or not the right time.  But I always had her going.  So I did it again...  But this time the deal was already done, sight unseen, and she got worked up as usual; but this time the party went into the night! :feedback:
